Day 1: Arrival/Shanghai
Airport to Hotel Transfer (Shanghai)
Arrive in Shanghai, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 2: Shanghai (B L D)
Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Bund, Huangpu River Cruise, Acrobatic Show
This morning, visit Yu Garden (UNESCO), which is a famous ancient private garden with architectures of Ming and Qing dynasties. Then head to the Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured. Continue to visit the Bund-Shanghai's famous riverfront and have a short cruise on Huangpu River which is one of the best ways to see both old and new Shanghai. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular Acrobatic Show for your entertainment, which is one of the most famous performance arts in China.
Day 3: Shanghai/Yichang (B L)
Shanghai Museum, Hotel to Airport Transfer (Shanghai), Airport to Cruise Pier Transfer (Yichang)
Visit the Shanghai Museum, which is a wonderful museum with many exhibits showing numerous examples of Chinese art and cultural treasures. Then fly to Yichang. Meet the guide upon the flight arrival. Take a short city tour before cruise check in and overnight on board.
Day 4: Yangtze River Cruise (B L D)
Xiling Gorges, Three Gorges Dam Project
The boat sails into picturesque dark green Xiling Gorges, which is famous for its strangely shaped cliff faces. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon shore excursion at the Three Gorges Dam Project - one of the largest construction projects. Then sail into second section of Xiling Gorge to Shennong Stream (the God of Agriculture Living Area).
Day 5: Yangtze River Cruise (B L D)
Shennong Stream, Wu Gorge, Qutang Gorge
Change to the small boat for sailing deep into the fabled Three Lesser Gorges along Shennong Stream for a 3 hours exploration. After getting to the upstream, change to small sampan pulled up by man tracker on bubbled water to the ethnic village. After returning back, the boat enters into the second Wu Gorge and the river changes to wildly stirring, riffle water along with numerous swirling bubbles. The mossy cliffs are hemmed by the hanging pathways under the Twelve Peaks. And in the later afternoon pass through the great Qutang Gorge.
Day 6: Yangtze River Cruise (B L D)
Fengdu Ghost City
Sail in the gorges & off-shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City. By the legend, Fengdu was a ghost city and the entrance of heaven or hell for passing through the Celestial Being’s Judgment here. It reveals ancient Chinese religion and believing with their imaged constructions and the ghost statures for people lucky praying. Return back the boat and continue sailing.
Day 7: Chongqing/Xi'an (B L)
Chongqing Zoo, General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum, Cruise Pier to Airport Transfer (Chongqing), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Xian)
Morning disembarkation at Chongqing. Take a visit to the Chongqing Zoo and the General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum. Then fly to Xi'an. On arrival, met and transferred to your Hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax.
Day 8: Xi'an (B L SD)
Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Dinner Show
Visit the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses (UNESCO), the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Then head to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is an important cultural relic and one of the remaining symbols of ancient Xi'an. In the evening, enjoy the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show - a must when you visit Xian.
Day 9: Xi'an/Beijing (B L)
Shanxi History Museum, Ancient City Wall, Hotel to Airport Transfer (Xian), Airport to Hotel transfer (Beijing)
Visit the Shaanxi History Museum, a large-scale national comprehensive museum in Xi’an, where you will discover how Xi'an became the cradle of Chinese culture. And then fly to Chongqing. Then head to the Ancient City Wall, the most complete one that survived in China. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Day 10: Beijing (B L)
Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace
Your first stop today is Tiananmen Square - the largest city square in the world. Then walk into the Forbidden City (UNESCO), the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasty, to explore its many fascinating halls and pavilions. Afterwards approach to the elegant Summer Palace (UNESCO), the largest imperial garden in the world.
Day 11: Beijing (B L SD)
Great Wall Badaling, Ming Tomb, Bird's Nest, Water Cube, Quanjude Roasted Duck
This morning you will be taken to Great Wall Badaling (UNESCO), the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China. Then approach to the Ming Tomb, the burial grounds of the Ming dynasty who ruled China from 1368 to 1644. On the way back to the city, take an outside tour to Olympic Stadium, nicknamed Bird's Nest and the National Swimming Centre, also known as the Water Cube. Dinner is served at the genuine Quanjude Peking Roast Duck Restaurant.
Day 12: Beijing (B L)
Temple of Heaven, Yonghe Lamasery, Hutong Tour by rickshaw
This morning visit another renowned imperial site - the Temple of Heaven (UNESCO), where ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest. Continue to the Yonghe Lamasery, Which is the largest and best-preserved lamasery in Beijing. Then take a Hutong Tour by rickshaw to experience the traditional Chinese life style.
Day 13: Beijing/Departure (B)
Hotel to Airport Transfer (Beijing)
Transfer to the airport for departure. Service ends.
