Day 1: Arrival/Beijing
Airport to Hotel Transfer (Beijing)
Arrive in Beijing, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 2: Beijing (B L)
Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace
Your first stop today is Tiananmen Square - the largest city square in the world. Then walk into the Forbidden City (UNESCO), the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasty, to explore its many fascinating halls and pavilions. Afterwards approach to the elegant Summer Palace (UNESCO), the largest imperial garden in the world,
Day 3: Beijing (B L SD)
Great Wall Badaling, Ming Tomb, Bird's Nest, Water Cube, Quanjude Roasted Duck
This morning you will be taken to Great Wall Badaling (UNESCO), the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China. Then approach to the Ming Tomb, the burial grounds of the Ming dynasty who ruled China from 1368 to 1644. On the way back to the city, take an outside tour to Olympic Stadium, nicknamed Birds Nest and the National Swimming Centre, also known as the Water Cube. Dinner is served at the genuine Quanjude Peking Roast Duck Restaurant.
Day 4: Beijing/Xian (B L)
Temple of Heaven, Hotel to Airport Transfer (Beijing), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Xian), Ancient City Wall
This morning visit another renowned imperial site - the Temple of Heaven (UNESCO), where ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest. Take later morning flight to Xian - the ancient capital over 1100 years. On arrival, visit the Ancient City Wall, the most complete one that survived in China.
Day 5: Xi'an (B L SD)
Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Dinner Show
Visit the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses (UNESCO), the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. Then head to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is an important cultural relic and one of the remaining symbols of ancient Xi'an. In the evening, enjoy the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show - a must when you visit Xian.
Day 6: Xi'an/Lhasa (B)
Hotel to Airport Transfer (Xian), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Lhasa)
Take a flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, meet the guide and transfer to Lhasa City. For the rest of the day you will be at leisure for acclimatization or visit local bazaar on your own.
Day 7: Lhasa (B L)
Potala Palace, Sera Monastery
A guided tour to the Lhasa's cardinal landmark - Potala Palace (UNESCO), which is the most visited monument in Tibet because of its grandeur and beauty. Then head to the Sera Monastery, one of three famous monasteries in Lhasa.
Day 8: Lhasa (B L)
Jokhang Temple, Norbulingkha
Have a visit to the spiritual center of Tibet, the Jokhang Temple (UNESCO), one of the most famous holy destinations in Tibet, also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards visit Norbulingkha (UNESCO), the summer palace of the Dalai Lama.
Day 9: Lhasa/Shigatse (B L D)
Yamdruktso Lake, Karola Pass
Drive to Shigatse. On the way, visit Yamdruktso Lake, one of the three largest lakes of Tibet, lying about a hundred kilometers to the southwest of Lhasa and via the Karola Pass - the highest road passing through the Lhasa. Check in at Shigatse Hotel. (360KM, Approximately 8 more hrs driving)
Day 10: Shigatse/Tingri (B L D)
Tashilhunpo Monastery
Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the Six Big Monasteries of Gelugpa (or Yellow Hat Sect) in Tibet. Then drive to Tingri. Check in at Tingri Everest Hotel. (250KM, Approximately 6 more hrs driving)
Day 11: Tingri/Shigatse (B L D)
Everest Base Camp, Rongbu Monastery
Early morning drive to Everest Base Camp, taking a round nearby. Then visit Rongbu Monastery. And then drive to Shigatse. Check in at Shigatse Hotel. (470KM, Approximately 9more hours driving, among which around 220KM is unpaved road from Tingri to EBC and back.)
Day 12: Shigatse/Lhasa (B L D)
After breakfast drive to Lhasa. Check in at the hotel in Lhasa. (280KM, Approximately 6 more hrs driving)
Day 13: Lhasa/Shanghai (B)
Hotel to Airport Transfer (Lhasa), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Shanghai)
Transfer to take the flight to Shanghai. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 14: Shanghai (B L D)
Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Bund, Huangpu River Cruise, Acrobatic Show
This morning, visit Yu Garden (UNESCO), which is a famous ancient private garden with architectures of Ming and Qing dynasties. Then head to the Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured. Continue to visit the Bund-Shanghai's famous riverfront and have a short cruise on Huangpu River which is one of the best ways to see both old and new Shanghai. In the evening enjoy a spectacular Acrobatic Show for your entertainment, which is one of the most famous performance arts in China.
Day 15: Shanghai/Departure (B)
Hotel to Airport Transfer (Shanghai)
Transfer to the airport for departure. Service ends.

From May 2012, the Tibet Travel Permit can only be issued to an organized tour group including five or more travelers with the same nationality and traveling together to Lhasa.
