Terms and Conditions

(1) Deposit & Final Payment Instructions

- Deposit & Final payment

1. A non-refundable deposit equal to 10% of total tour cost is required at the time a reservation is confirmed.
2. The full and/or final payment is required 30 days before departure for your China tour.
3. Should the tour booked within 30 days before departure for your China tour, full payment is required.

- Methods of Payment

There are two ways of payment:

1. Bank transfer

Payment should be made by bank transfer to the Bank of China, Beijing, to the US$ bank account of the China International Travel Service Head Office. If you make payment in mainland China, please choose RMB account for payment. It may take 4-7 days for your payment to reach our account.

NOTES:
(1) Please specify “the operator's name” when you do the payment.
(2) Please send us the bank receipt by fax after you made the payment and write down your “Tour Code”. The fax number: 0086-10-65221733/ 65221730.
(3) A voucher with the confirmation will be provided upon receipt. We will start booking as soon as we got the payment.

2. Credit card online payment via PayPal

PayPal is the preferred way to send secure online payments at chinatraveldesigner.com. You can use Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards to checkout your payment easy and fast.

Q: How to use PayPal to make online payment?

A: (1) If you are already a PayPal member with a PayPal account, simply follow the standard procedure.

(2) If you do not have a PayPal account

You just input your credit card information for an express checkout. Or sign in your customer center; you could checkout the replied proposal with quotation in “My Reservation” section, click the "Pay" button and follow the normal procedure to pay.

Note: When either PayPal or China Travel Designer has reason to believe that the payment you made is fraudulent, we reserve the right to hold your bookings and require another method of payment.

(2) Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that you have to cancel your trip to China for some reason. If you wish to cancel your booking with us we need to receive your request in writing, and all vouchers or tickets returned to us. However, not all bookings can be cancelled and cancellation fee will be added. Please refer to the Rules and Restrictions at the time of booking.

The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

Notes:
1. 100% cost of Yangtze River Cruise will be charged if you cancel within 35 days before departure. No-show travelers will be charged 100% of the full payment.
2. If a traveler cancels the tour while this tour is in progress, unused services can't be refunded. If a traveler misses any program because of early departure and late arrival, unused services can't be refunded.

If a traveler cancels the tour while this tour is in progress, unused services can't be refunded. If a traveler misses any program because of early departure and late arrival, unused services can't be refunded.

Notes:
We issue the tickets in the first week of the departure month. According to request of guests, we can issue the tickets in advance. Once the tickets are issued before its departure month, it CANNOT be changed or cancelled. If you change or cancel your booking in such case, there will be 100% cancellation charge.

(3) Product Modifications & Amendments

All products, tours, and services are valid as per the dates displayed at Chinatraveldesigner.com. China Travel Designer is not responsible or liable for any information that it does not directly provide.

If you change your itinerary:

Alternations to your itinerary before confirmation are happily processed free of charge. If you want to change some details of your itinerary, such as adding scenic spots, revising your daily schedule, or changing to a new hotel after confirmation, we will do our best to help after we check the possibility and availability. Because hotel/flight is reserved several weeks in advance, we cannot guarantee all your entire requests can be satisfied. You are required to pay any additional cost may incur.

If we change your itinerary:

China Travel Designer aims to provide all products as booked, but sometimes we do have to make changes:
a. If events that is out of our control happen, like war, fire, epidemics, health risks, hurricanes, and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, etc., we will have to change your itinerary, and you are required to pay any additional cost may incur.

b. If any extra fees caused by third parties such as cruise operators, airlines, and hotels, you are required to pay any additional cost may incur.

c. China Travel Designer reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary

(4) Luggage Allowance

In accordance with regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, the free baggage allowance within China is 20kg for the economy class, 30kg for the business class, and 40kg for the first class, plus limited carry-on luggage. Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of the client. Regulations within China specify that all suitcases must have a locking device attached. Failure to follow this regulation may result in refusal by airport staff to load suitcases onto the aircraft.

(5) Travel Documents

All clients must be in possession of a valid passport which must have at least six months of remaining validity and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Your travel advisor may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon request. China Travel Designer accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the failure of clients to obtain appropriate documentation.

Tibet Permit

As Tibet has unique geography,climate,religion, and traffic considerations, it has not been fully opened to foreign travelers. Travelers must take a Tibet Entry Permit before having access to Tibet Areas.
Travelers must have Tibet Entry Permit before buying plane or train tickets. Our travel advisors will arrange an itinerary for you and assist you to get the Tibet Permit.

Notes:
1. All kinds of people can get Tibet permit from our travel service except diplomats, journalists, and government officials. These people should travel to Tibet under the arrangement by the Foreign Affairs Office of Tibet Government.
2. it's easier for you to get Tibet Permit after you have China Visa.

Double Entry Visa

A double entry visa is required if you enter mainland China twice during your journey, for example, you travel from mainland China to Hong Kong, then go back to mainland China, in such case, you should apply a double entry visa.
It is wise to carry your passport with you at all times, as you need it to register in hotels, buy plane tickets, and change money. Also, sometimes there are random checkpoints at night for passengers riding in taxis. If you lose your passport, you should report immediately to your embassy, as well as tell the public Security Bureau.

(a) China does not recognize dual nationality.
(b) HIV-positive travelers are not permitted to enter the country.

Validity:
Single entry visas are normally valid for three months, double entry for six months, multiple entry six, 12 or 24 months. A transit visa generally allows you to stay in the country for seven days but is valid for either three or six months depending on the number of entries (single / double).

(6) Health Requirements

There are lots of international travel risks while traveling. You should be familiar with the applicable health requirements to the areas when intending to visit. It is your solely responsibility to check the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of governments in countries visited or transited. Altitude sickness may develop in travelers who ascend rapidly to altitudes greater than 2500 m. When you travel to Tibet, parts of Sichuan, Yunnan Province, make sure your blood pressure and heart condition are normal. A doctor's certificate is required if you will go to Tibet.

(7) Travel Insurance

All your tours cover Travel Agencies' Liability Insurance, regulated by the China National Tourism Administration. This insurance covers only accidents occurring during the activities arranged by a travel agency, It does not cover mishaps or physical problems occurring outside the guided tour period or caused by clients themselves. We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance beyond the coverage of the Agency policy in your home country before departure.

(8) Complaints and Claims

Shall you feel unsatisfied with any service China Travel Designer has provided, please immediately notify the local guide and contact your travel advisor. We will notify the local supplier of the service to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.

In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must send the letter of claim by email, fax, or regular mail within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. China Travel Designer will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.

(9) Privacy and User Agreement

China Travel Designer (http: //www. chinatraveldesigner.com) is in charge of producing and operating online products and providing various kinds of services for clients who make inquires and bookings through the Internet. This site and its travel services are available to people who lawfully enter into this site.

China Travel Designer respects the privacy of your data which you supply to us. We will comply with all applicable data protection legislation in respect of it. You agree to keep your data accurate and up-to-date and we may use your personal data for the purpose of providing you with our services, such as using your information to book the hotel and flights. The minimum age of booking a travel service from this site is 18 years old. By accessing or booking on this site you signify that you have read, understood and accepted all of the Terms and Conditions. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in China.

(10) Use of Information & Copyrights, Links

You may only use this website for your own personal use. You are not allowed to access, use or copy any information or material on the website for any commercial purpose or for any unlawful purposes. China Travel Designer reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of its trips, and to use any such photographic or film records for promotional and/or commercial purposes. This site contains links to external web sites. These links are provided for your convenient to get further information quickly and easily. China Travel Designer is not responsible for the content of these websites.

(11) Responsibility

The responsibility of China Travel Designer’s agents, parent company, and affiliated companies is strictly limited. As a tour operator, we organize, promote, and market tour programs consisting of certain travel services, including guide service, ground transportation, air transportation, water transportation, excursions, and accommodations that we purchase or reserve from various suppliers. The suppliers providing services for our tour programs are independent contractors and they are not our agents or employees.

To the extent that we are involved in booking air and/or cruise transportation for you, we act as your agent and not as an agent for the airline and/or cruise companies. However, we promise that we are responsible for the willful or negligent acts of our partner travel agents for the land services.

China Travel Designer will take all benefits and all losses of any fluctuations, lower or higher in airfares, cruise fares, currency devaluation, park fee increases, taxes, or fuel surcharges after we have received the full payment. And we reserve the right to correct promotional or pricing errors or to increase the tour price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, cruise fares, currency devaluation, park fee increases, taxes, or fuel surcharges before we receive your reservation deposit.

China Travel Designer reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to make changes in the itinerary whenever we deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of the other tour participants, or to cancel a tour at any time. We will refund any unused fund to tour participants.

China Travel Designer reserves the right to substitute hotels, flights, cruise ships, to alter itineraries, and to cancel the tour prior to departure.

(12) Limitations of Liability

The travel agency is not the direct supplier of services sold but rather is only the authorized agent. The travel agency is not responsible for services of the actual supplier (airline, ferry line, hotel, car rental agency, etc.) and for the quality and quantity of the services. If you are dissatisfied with the purchased service or if the services do not coincide with the travel documents you have received, you must first consult directly with your tour operator immediately. Usually, in such cases the situation is solved in favor of the traveler. If you do not receive a response to your complaint or if the operator refuses to provide the required service you should, within one week after returning, give your travel consultant a written complaint addressed to the travel agency's general manager. Unfortunately, the travel agency is not able to process and forward vocal complaints. Written complaints should include the original receipts directly substantiating the expenses for which one wishes compensation from or via the travel agency. Compensation claims which are not directly applicable to the documented travel arrangement (inconvenience, incomplete mission, mental or physical stress, lost time, etc.) cannot be considered for compensation by the travel agency or any firm other than the respective insurer.

Should it be necessary to change tour itineraries, China Travel Designer reserves the right to substitute travel arrangements of an equal value. We are not responsible for any delays due to traffic, weather, or mechanical difficulties. China Travel Designer acts solely as an agent in arranging restaurant, hotel accommodations, attractions, and other services. It does not assume any liability for injury, delay, damage, loss, or accident due to any act, negligence, or fault of any other person or company rendering services on any tour. China Travel Designer also reserves the right to refuse to transport a person or persons under the influence on intoxicating liquor or drugs, who is incapable of taking care of himself or herself, or whose conduct is such, or likely to be such, as to make him or her objectionable to other passengers.

China Travel Designer is not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to person, property in connection with climatic conditions, fire, breakdown of machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, wars, whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond China Travel Designer's control. Neither China Travel Designer nor any of its affiliates or subsidiaries shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses of liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of any of the aforementioned causes. China Travel Designer shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent acts, omissions, or the failure of any equipment operated by any suppliers such as transportation carriers, cruise, and hotels, or any other party not directly owned or controlled by China Travel Designer. China Travel Designer is not responsible for a client's failure to comply with customs regulations and we are not responsible for the theft or lost of any customer's valuables or items of personal property due to the negligence of the customer.

(13) Disclaimer

China Travel Designer website www.chinatraveldesigner.com ("the Site") is online travel information and trading platform designed for tourists. The Company is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive damage or other expenses, lost profits or lost savings arising out of your access to the Site or failure to access to the Site.

The Company is other than a manufacturer or a supplier of travel products and explicitly disclaims within legal range any warranty of products supplied by the third parties. The Company hereby neither disclaims the warranty of the accuracy or completeness of the information, content or data or nonexistence of mistakes, omissions, typographical errors, printing errors found on this Site nor assumes the liability of damages for any direct or indirect expenses or profit losses in anyway connected with any causes described above.
