Dear Sofia Chen, Thank you for arranging a very enjoyable tour to Dunhuang, Turpan, and Urumqi. In general, we were very happy with the quality of your services and below are details of each city's service. The breakfasts were sufficient. Every lunch was generous and included some interesting dishes except the last lunch in Urumqi - few dishes and ordinary content. The most interesting lunch was arranged at an Uighur family's house in Turpan. The tour guides had excellent English. Linda in DUNHUANG offered us excellent service. She is very professional and knowledgeable, went beyond what was expected of him. Shirly in TURPAN and URUMQI is also very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and went beyond what was expected of her in terms of time she spent with us. However, she needs to be more aware of time in arranging tour schedules and show more initiative in providing suggestions for our free time. I think she will grow with experience. Both driver and van were excellent; we had a large van as you described "We will arrange 17-seat or 19-seat-car for you", and it was clean and in good condition. All hotels were fine for 4 star hotels. The service in Urumqi's Ramada could have been better. Train ride - the 4 ladies shared a cabin and had a great time. The two men were separated into 2 different cabins.. It was a little tough on them when there was a constant change of sleepers on another bed during the night. All in all, it was a great trip and we saw everything we wanted to see. Since it was a private tour, we had more flexibility with our itinerary and did a lot more than we would have in a regular tour. Thank you again for a very organized and well arranged tour. Sofia Well, I'm back home and have finally adjusted to the time change. I did not need the Sino Hotel since my flight from Lhasa was cancelled in Chongqing at 10:30 due to bad weather. I missed my Beijing flight the next day but was able to get a later flight that same day. So everything was fine. I want you to know that I had a wonderful trip and all the guides were very good. I do want to mention Maria in Urumqi in particular. From the minute I met him, he made me feel extremely comfortable. I felt as if I was touring with an old friend that I had not seen in a while. He checked with me constantly to make sure I was seeing what I wanted to see. If I ever go back to Urumqi, I would certainly request Maria by name to be my guide for me and my family. I also want to mention Rosy. I do not think that I have met a happier person in my life. In addition to being very knowledgeable, she was very entertaining. I told her that her English name 'Rosy' was very appropriate for her. Sofia, you were wonderful throughout the long process of finally scheduling my trip. Your patience was admirable! I always knew that I could contact you at any time if I had any questions. Also, I must admit that I was somewhat nervous using an internet-based travel agency in China. However, you put me at ease and answered all my questions. As with Maria, you are my first choice when I plan my next trip to China. I intend to send a separate email to your supervisor if you think that is appropriate to let him or her know what a wonderful agent you are; also, you should not hesitate to forward my email to your supervisor if you like. I cannot thank you enough, Sofia, for the trip of a lifetime!
