Our trip to China began with an advertisement in the newspaper many months before we went. It was for a cruise to Beijing from Sydney Australia. It excited us and we thought if we were going all that way we should see a little bit of China. We left on March 8th on our cruise and departed the Diamond Princess at Tianjin on 1st April. Ken was waiting for us and introduced his driver and said they would be looking after us for the next three days. After checking all our details we were taken to the Novotel Peace Beijing hotel. The next day we were up early and off to Tiananmen Square then the Forbidden City. Ken wanted us to be the first people to see an important place for a good photo and we were. We were impressed by Kens knowledge of history and passion for China.It was very interesting but hard for us to retain so much at one time! Maybe because we are getting old. We were very pleased to find a relic that had fallen down and hand it to someone to go to the appropriate place.We loved the Summer Palace and beautiful gardens and lakes. Also the Temple of Heaven. We took hundreds of photos. We had never seen such amazing places before. The next day was the day we were most excited about. The Great Wall of China. We loved the drive in the country to get there and Ken answered all our questions. The Wall was more than we expected. We were pleased we were fit and healthy and climbed further than we thought we would be able to. Once again we were in awe and took hundreds of photos. We were lucky that it was a lovely warm day and we got there before the throngs of other tourists. A truly memorable day and we felt quite emotional to actually be there. We had been warned about the dust and pollution but we found that not a problem as we were so interested in everything that we saw. We looked forward also to seeing the Terracotta Warriors in Xian and we were not disappointed. What an amazing find. Our guide Hoel was very relaxed and knowledgeable. Once again we were in awe at the history of Xian and the amazing sights we saw. We were very happy to be escorted to the airports by our guides and taken to where we had to check in. It made the trip stress free and relaxing. Our only regret is that we did not stay in your interesting country for longer. We would have loved to cruise the Yangtze River and see the hanging temples at Mt Heng. Unfortunately we will not be able to afford to return to China. It was very memorable and we talk about China a lot and the people we met. We loved it when the young people wanted to speak to us to improve their English and found them very helpful when we asked for directions when we were on our own. We did get lost in a shop once! We really enjoyed the tour and thought it was very well planned. Both tour guides were excellent, Jack Wallace in Beijing and Tingting in Xian. They did a very good job looking after us. Hi Wei, We had a wonderful holiday - everything went really well and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. All of the tour guides were very friendly and informative and we had a great time. Thank you for all of your assistance in booking the tour and organizing everything. We would definitely recommend chinatraveldesigner to our friends and family. The Great Wall and Terracotta Warriors were spectacular, but we loved biking around the city wall in Xian too as it really allowed you to get a sense of the city. Teresa in Beijing was excellent in that she provided lots of information and told us interesting stories that really bought the attractions to life. Our drivers in Beijing and Shanghai drove very well and all of the vehicles used in all 3 cities were very comfortable. The hotels were great - all well located. We particularly enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel in Xian - we ate in two of their restaurants and the food and service were excellent. We loved the fact that some unusual experiences were included - the Xian city wall Bike tour and the Hutong tour. We would Absolutely recommend chinatraveldesigner to our friends and family - the experience from initially contacting you via email through to arranging the itinerary with you through to our experience in China has been fantastic. Hello, I am from Chicago of Illinois, travel with my wife and one of her sisters. This is our first trip to China, we are very fortunately for choosing Chinatraveldesigner for our tour company, our tour advisor Zhongxin has been wonderful. We’ve been able through the internet to make customized what we want to see with Mary. Many wonderful things, The Great Wall, The Forbidden City, Xi’an, The Warriors. The Rice Field. And I am standing, the two of the Pagoda, the service being excellent. We would say an unusual travelling for ten days and we really do not have any bad comments. Our guide has been very flexible, very helpful. The driver’s been right there. It makes traveling so easy. Use what kind of hotel, your car is there, You have a guide to help you, so I highly recommend using chinatraveldesigner, their web site is extensive, wonderful and give you links all the information you need, so I thanks Zhongxin and chinatraveldesigner for a wonderful experience for us.
