Thank you for the effort you made to set up our tour of China and Tibet. It was an excellent trip in large part because of the guides we had at every step of the way - especially during our stay in Tibet.
The facilities that were made available to us were for the most part very nice. The hotels in Chengdu and Leshan were excellent, as was the Sheraton in Lhasa.
I would like to comment regarding the food. Overall, Diane and I really enjoyed eating the food. It was for the most part very tasty and wholesome. I did get the feeling overall though, that maybe, you could arrange for better restaurants in a few cases, an example was in Leshan where we were rushed behind a curtain and served a prefix menu of food. Diane and I also would have liked to possibly have had evening meals in better restaurants. Breakfast almost every where was excellent, lunch was adequate.
Overall, your guides were the strong point of the tour. They were very good. Food , and hotels, could stand a little upgrading where possible. We were very much impressed with your ability, at short notice, to set up a complicated itinerary that included a Tibet permit. This was very much appreciated and was a strong part of your service.
Diane and I would like to thank you and your capable staff for their help in making our visit to China and Tibet such a success.
Should we visit China again, we will most certainly ask China Travel Designer to make the arrangements.
