Day 1: Arrival/Kunming: Airport to Hotel Transfer (Kunming)
Arrive in Kunming, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 2: Kunming/Jiangshui (B L): Stone Forest, Confucius Temple, Zhu Family Garden
Start from Kunming in the morning and drive to Jianshui, a small cultural and historic city in southern Yunnan. On the way, visit the Stone Forest, which is one of the greatest nature wonders in China. Later take a visit to Confucius Temple, a construction aged over 700 years with biggest size in province. Afterwards, head to Zhu Family Garden, a private residence built in late Qing Dynasty 100 years ago, covering an area of 20,000 square meters and with labyrinthine arrangements of yards, pathways and elaborately-decorated rooms.

Day 3: Jianshui/Yuanyang (B L): Zhang Family Garden, Twin Dragons Bridge (Shuanglong Bridge)
Pay a visit to Zhang Family Garden, where many private houses are featured with typical Chinese architecture style. Then visit the No.1 stone bridge in Yunnan Province - Twin Dragons Bridge, a masterpiece in terms of size and artistic value. Later drive to Yuanyang, a small mountainous county of Hani and Yi people, around which there are grand views of thousands of rice terraces.

Day 4: Yuanyang (B L): Yuanyang Rice Terraces (Bada, Duoyishu, Qingkouhani Village & Laohuzui Area)
Today you will visit Yuanyang Rice Terraces, which have been carved out from the rolling hills over generations by Hani minority. Yuanyang Rice Terraces are particularly resplendent at sunrise and sunset and from November to April when they are full of water. You will have four stops to glut your eyes contentedly: Bada and Laohuzui (meaning ‘tiger mouth’in Chinese) can be mesmerizing for sunsets; Duoyishu, about 25km from Xinjie, has the most spectacular sunrises and is the one you should not miss. Along this route you are sure to fully experience the wonderful scene in this whole day.

Day 5: Yuanyang/Kunming/Jinghong (B L): Hotel to Airport Transfer (Kunming), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Jinghong), Manting Park
Drive back to Kunming and take the flight to Jinghong, a city with a long history and colorful ethnic cultures and arts. Upon arrival, you will go sightseeing at Manting Park, where the royal slaves were formerly kept.

Day 6: Jinghong (B L): Olive Dam Dai Minority Water Splashing Activity, Menglun Botanic Garden
You are to experience the unique Dai culture by taking part in the recreation of the annual Dai Water-Splashing Festival at Olive Dam. After that, take the tourist bus to Menglun and visit Menglun Botanic Garden, where over 1,000 species of tropical plants thrive.

Day 7: Jinghong (B L): Wild Elephant Valley
Feel free to enjoy your Water Splashing time involved with local ethnic groups in Wild Elephant Valley. Afterwards, tour the Wild Elephant Valley, the most attractive scenic spot of Xishuangbanna to view virgin forest and wild elephants.

Day 8: Jinghong/Kunming/Departure (B): Hotel to Airport Transfer (Jinghong)
Transfer to Jinghong airport for the flight to Kunming. Service ends.

1. Dai Water-Splashing Festival lasts from April 13^th, 2012 to April 15^th, 2012. Only starting the tour on April 8^th, 2012, travelers can experience the Water-Splashing Festival. In other time periods, the tour itinerary will not change except the festival part.
